Trash

  • Pick up is every Wednesday.
  • Place robocan at curb on Tuesday night.
  • Robocan is emptied by truck's mechanical arm; be sure nothing is blocking access to robocan.
  • Only 1 robocan per house is permitted.

Recycling

  • Pickup is every other Wednesday. See Calendar on Borough website for pickup days.
  • Place recycling at curb on Tuesday night.
  • Recycling cannot be in plastic bags or it will not be picked up. There cannot be plastic bags inside your recycling container or it will not be emptied.
  • Contractor cannot pickup recyclables with trash.
  • Corrugated cardboard is designated as recyclable.
  • You can use more than one recycling container.

Used Electronic Equipment 

Used electronic equipment can be dropped off at the Goodwill in Allentown, located at 86 Route 526 (next to the firehouse). Hours are Mon-Sat 8-7 pm, Sunday 10-6 pm. Hightstown Borough can no longer accept electronics.

Used electronic equipment can also be dropped off at the Millstone Recycling Center located at the Department of Public Works at 899 Perrineville Road, Millstone. Hours are Wednesday: 11m-3pm, Saturday/Sunday: 8am-1pm. Closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
